Practice Makes Perfect

“A colleague once pointed out to me that I’m known as a perfectionist,” says CosmePlast founder Dr. Eugene Strasser, adding that “I have a strong desire that forces me to strive for a perfect result every time.”

This little obsession has served Dr. Strasser well, he says, in his 25 years of practice as he provides “professional care in a quiet, elegant and friendly atmosphere.” At CosmePlast, patients can expect Dr. Strasser to conduct a thorough consultation that fully addresses their goals, as well as the procedure’s details and limitations, and suggestions for a rapid, healthy recovery. He stresses that patients should not leave the office until all of their questions are answered. “I treat everybody the way I’d like to be treated,” states Dr. Strasser, who performs the whole range of cosmetic procedures. »read more

News from the Doctor

Your goal in undergoing any cosmetic surgical procedure is to look your best. That means you must look natural. Who wants big “phony looking” breasts or a “windswept” looking facelift? Properly performed plastic surgery should give you the desired look without leaving surgical tell tale signs. If, after healing, you look like you had surgery, I consider that an unsuccessful result. How can you get that ideal result? What differentiates an ordinary result from the perfect result? That is the question I posed to myself over and over during 26 years as a Plastic Surgeon. The answer materialized and culminated in my publication of my article, “An Objective Grading System for the Evaluation of Cosmetic Surgical Results”. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. 104: 2282, 1999. I expanded on it in my “Application of the Objective Grading System for the Evaluation of Cosmetic Surgical Results”. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. 109: 1733, 2002. A perfect result is one without imperfections. By identifying all potential flaws, thus directing attention to them, I found a dramatic improvement in outcomes and a dramatic increase in patient satisfaction.

My approach to natural looking breast augmentations was recently published in the Aesthetic Journal. “Results of Subglandular versus Subectoral Augmentation over Time: One Surgeon's Observations”. Special Topic. Aesthetic Journal. 26: 45, 2006. I encourage anyone considering any cosmetic surgery to carefully weigh your options and be informed! I can provide you full information at consultation.

The ultimate goal in any cosmetic surgical procedure is to fulfill your desires. Toward that end our clear understanding of your goals is my guide.
